A Simple Method for Evaluating the System Observability in Satellite Orbit Determination

A method is described for evaluating the system observability in satellite orbit determination. The method is simple and rapid in computation time, because it uses the calculation of the mutual orthogonality between the observation partial vectors rather than the calculation of eigenvalues of the Grammian matrix.
