Social epistemology and information science

L'epistemologie, et plus particulierement l'epistemologie sociale, represente veritablement la branche de la philosophie la plus centrale aux sciences de l'information, comme l'a montre Jesse Shera. Cet article presente les applications de l'epistemologie sociale aux sciences de l'information, ainsi que les objections soulevees par ces applications. L'epistemologie peut notamment aider les services d'information a remplir leur objectif premier, a savoir l'acquisition de connaissances. L'ethique represente egalement un domaine crucial pour les sciences de l'information.
