Avantages et inconvénients d'un plan de lutte contre la rhinotrachéite infectieuse bovine en Belgique

Un groupe de travail de l'Association d'Epidemiologie et de Sante Animale a evalue la strategie de lutte contre la rhinotracheite infectieuse bovine (infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, IBR) qui pourrait etreinitiee en Belgique et en a etudie la faisabilite et les modalites d'application. L'epidemiologie de l'IBR en Belgique, la vaccination, les methodes de depistage, les aspects economiques de la lutte contre l'IBR, les dispositions legales en matiere d'IBR en Belgique et les motivations des acteurs du terrain ont ete decrits. Les avantages et inconvenients de trois modalites ont ete analyses: le maintien de la position actuelle, la protection clinique des bovins et le controle suivi de l'eradication de l'IBR.
