The invention provides a method, device and system for updating SQL (Structured Query Language) script metadata. The updating method comprises the following steps of: analyzing an SQL script contained in a program block and acquiring metadata; judging whether the SQL script is the same as the SOL script recorded by a metadata base; and whether the SQL script is different from the SOL script recorded by the metadata base, updating the metadata to the metadata base. According to the invention, the defect that the updating efficiency is not high because the metadata are named according to objects for matching when the metadata are input into the base in the prior art is overcome; and the updating efficiency is improved.
