A satellite image watermarkig scheme based on perspective distance

This paper proposes adaptive watermarking scheme depending on perspective distance using hue histogram in order to protect the copyrights of satellite images. The proposed scheme uses the different color distribution and the edge component depending on the overlooking distance when acquiring satellite images. It analyzes the hue histogram of acquired satellite images to determine the perspective distance, uses the edge histogram if satellite images are short distance, and uses the RGB histogram if satellite images are long distance. The inserted watermarks are used by converting user information to express copyright into binary bits. Experimental results verified that the proposed scheme has the robustness to image processing in GIS environment and the invisibility of the watermark.
