Color image segmentation using color space analysis and fuzzy clustering

This paper presents a new method using color space analysis to obtain a proper number of colors and a good initial estimate of center positions. Then fuzzy c-means algorithm is used to optimally cluster the color space data points projected from an input image. Hence, optimal color segmentation can be achieved.
