Adaptive control approach for PMSM based on parameter identification: A simulation perspective

This paper presents a novel approach of identifying the parameters of Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Motor (PMSM) based on the mathematical model of the PMSM by the use of the Recursive Least Square (RLS) and Model Reference Adaptive (MRA) algorithm through the input and output relationship. The parameters of current-loop and speed-loop PI regulator of a dual closed loop PMSM can be tuned in accordance with the identified parameters. The suggested approach is assessed and evaluated through extensive simulation experiments and the numerical results continuing the proposed approach is efficient and effective.
