Evaluacion del dano s´õsmico en puentes de hormigon armado

Summary The estimation of the damage produced by seismic action in existing bridges has received much attention in the last years, not only with the aim of reducing the deaths number but also to decrease the enormous economic losses. In damage detection and evaluation, the application of reliable and simple models has been priorised, because they can be used in the case of multi-analyses necessary in a Monte Carlo simulation. Opting for this way, a proposal of the simplified analysis of damage in RChighway bridges is presented. In this paper the proposed model is described, based on a dynamical model and on the modification of the inertial moment to estimate of the damage in the bridge piers. Examples are included which demonstrate the reliability and efficiency of the proposed model.
