Device and process for aiding cerebral localization

The invention aims a device and a method using the cerebral localization. The device comprises first and second memory. The first is arranged to store in the first mode of spatial location a generic mapping of a brain, and designation data corresponding to a target area in this mapping. The latter can receive and store in a second mode of spatial location, a brain working image of a subject of analysis acquired by medical imaging. The device also comprises a tool for non-rigid registration, arranged to establish a transformation of generic three-dimensional mapping to the working image, and a resampling tool for establishing a mapping converted with converted designation data. A user interface as a display image by matching the image of work and mapping converted, while indicating an area corresponding to the converted designation data.
