A Relational Database Model for Science Mapping Analysis

This paper presents a relational database model for science mapping analysis. It has been specially conceived for use in almost all of the stages of a science mapping workflow (excluding the data acquisition and pre-processing stages). The database model is developed as an entity-relations diagram using information that is typically presented in science mapping studies. Finally, several SQL queries are presented for validation purposes.
