Establishing trust between vehicles in vehicular clouds: An agent based approach

Trust establishment among vehicles in Vehicular Clouds (VC) is a major issue. It depends largely on sensing of reputation, and self assessment by providers of vehicular cloud services. Trust is a key parameter used to establish a secured environment to enhance the applications of vehicular cloud networks. Existing trust establishment techniques for vehicles in VC are based on the history of VC service providers and reputation. These techniques fail to perform effectively for time critical applications in dense vehicular networks. In this position paper, we propose an agent based intelligent architecture that aims to establish trust among vehicles in VC. Proposed trust establishment approach has ability to evaluate the trust based on observed data in vehicular networks to improve the accuracy of trustworthiness.
