Low back pain is an expensive problem of health care. It is usually present in the region of lumbar vertebrae. Exercise therapy is used for treatment of chronic low back pain disorder. The objective of this system is to monitor accurate feedback of lumbar position during therapy exercises. The device described in this paper provides real time feedback to ensure that the patient is doing each exercise in a correct way. This wearable monitoring system consists of load cell and accelerometer. Load cell is mounted at the end of stainless-steel strip to measure sagittal flexion and lateral bending is measured using accelerometer. It is a light weight and inexpensive system. The device can be used by the patient at home without a clinician. Also, data can be saved and used by the clinician for analysis of spinal disorder.
