Applications of the flnite volumes method for complex ∞ows: from the theory to the practice

In this short paper, we recall some well-known results on hyperbolic systems of conservation laws. We introduce the Godunov flnite volume scheme for their approximations. We then present two recent applications to multiphase ∞ows: the computation of a wave breaking and the construction of entropic scheme for phase transition.
