Design of Synchronous Circuit Breaker Based on Zero-Crossover Phase Difference

A controllable SCB synchronizing to the phase information of power grid is developed by using vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) with permanent magnet actuator and the controller based on single chip microprocessor MC68332, in which the algorithm of average series for zero-crossover phase difference is adopted, so the phase information of power grid can be extracted rapidly and accurately and synchronous tracking pulses can be procreated; when remote control instructions are received, according to the phase information of power grid the VCB acts synchronously to ensure that the contactors of VCB can be opened or closed in right position. The test parameters of synchronous VCB are measured in the testing, testing results show that the action of the developed equipment is correct and reliable.
