When the final stand of corn (Zea mays L.) achieved from the initial planting date is lower than desired, whether or not to replant becomes an issue. The major decision facing the corn producer is whether the original stand or the replanted stand (often at an optimum stand, but planted at a later than desired date) would be the most profitable.
