A NEW METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION OF STABLE POINTWISE TARGET IN SMALL SAR DATASET

Identification of stable pointwise target is an important procedure in SAR image interpretation and application in monitoring surface deformation. PS and CS methods have been proposed in recently years to identify stable pointwise target from different respective. However, the two methods have their own defects. PS method require enough data to ensure the accuracy of identification result, CS method do not consider the radiometry in identifying the stable pointwise target. This paper proposes the sublook correlation method for ensuring stable scattering mechanism and temporal stability of pointwise target in small SAR dataset. The primary experiment is presented with Evisat/ASAR data. Physical and geometry properties of stable pointwise target are examined by ground investigation. And the results of deriving surface deformation further demonstrate the effectiveness of sublook correlation method for small SAR dataset.
