LETTER: Vertical asymmetries in soft X-ray emissivity in COMPASS-C

Vertical asymmetries in soft X-ray emissivity of the order of the inverse aspect ratio = r/R are seen in the core of the tokamak COMPASS-C. The direction, magnitude and scaling of the asymmetries are consistent with neoclassical theory
