Multiple and simple regression models relationship of some seed vigour tests and field seed emergence of crops

ABSTRACT: In order to determine the simple and multiple regression models relationship of seed vigour tests and field seed performance of some Iran important crop included corn, wheat, barley, sorghum, alfalfa, Iranian clover, safflower, rapeseed, dry pea, mungbean, white bean, broad bean, suger beet, sunflower and cotton, seeds of these crops stored at the seed eroded condition for one year and after this time, total seeds were carried at the seed vigour tests and parallel, they were sowing in farm and seed performance in farm determinated and in final single and multiple regression relations between seed vigour tests results and seed performance in farm determined. Base on our results in single regression models, standard germination test can predict 56 percent of seed performance in farm. Also in multiple regression model, standard germination test and acceleration test could predict 72 percent seed performance in farm.
