Network system research and design for 100% low floor light rail vehicle

100% low floor light rail vehicle (LFLRV) is favored for its small volume, light weight, user-friendly design and its full low floor convenient for all people. 100% LFLRV adopts the structure of independence wheel, which gets rid of the transmission shaft crossing the vehicle in the traditional vehicle, consequently to low the floor. This structure makes the drive control mode obviously differ from other ones, and also leads to a different network system. This paper presents the design of 100% LFLRV in China, including the whole structure design of the network system, the multifunction vehicle bus using CANopen, the traction system design and its control strategy, and especially the intelligent network monitoring system for traction system (TSYS). The humanization interface for control system debugging and monitoring is given at the end of this paper.
