The Topology Construction Power Control Algorithm Based on Birthday Paradox in Wireless Sensor Network

Now, power control is an emphasis of application of wireless sensor network. It can be used in MAC layer, network layer and application layer. Using power control in topology construction of WSN can control the connectivity of network and save the nodes' energy well. This paper provides an APCTC algorithm using birthday paradox theory to control the nodes alternate among transmitting status and dormancy status and listen status. This algorithm is based on distributed power control based topology construction, and it can reduce the energy consumption of nodes with the precondition of ensuring connectivity of network. At the end of this paper, the simulation is done fore APCTC algorithm and the result is provided.
