3D Modelling of Oversize Cities based on Oblique Photogrammetry: Key Technique Considerations and Experimental Results

Oblique photogrammetric technology is widely used in the construction of 3D model in a wide range because of its high efficiency and strong sense of reality. However, due to the difficulty of airspace coordination and the complexity of feature elements, there are few cases of large-scale construction in oversize cities, and many technical difficulties still have no clear research results. Therefore, combining with the practical experience of constructing about 4000 square kilometers of high-precision 3D models in Beijing, this paper puts forward a set of solutions to the key technologies used in the construction of high-precision 3D models based on oblique photograph in oversize cities, including: photo control point layout scheme, the technical route of building monomeric model and building 3d model by the integration of aerial photos and the near-ground photos. The results show that the solution is effective.
