INFRA-ESTRUTURA DE SUPORTE À EDITORAÇÃO DE MATERIAL DIDÁTICO UTILIZANDO MULTIMÍDIA

Through the use of multimedia and hypermedia, educational systems exploit features, such as multi-sensorial association, interaction and experimentation, making use of several resources, in order to promote an effective learning experience. This article presents a proposal of a distributed educational environment that aims to integrate WWW-enabled presentation and editing tools for documents containing multimedia objects. The design of the management infrastructure and the multimedia data delivery system consists in the use of VOD-based multimedia data servers and metadata databases.
