Simulation and Experimental Research on the Performance of Vehicle Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell

Semi-empirical polarization curve equations of PEMFC were summarized. The relative coefficients in the equations were fitted according to the experimental data of 80 kW PEMFC. Subsequently, the model of PEMFC was built with Matlab/Simulink software, which provided an important tool for the analysis and simulation of fuel cell engine system. Through the model, the influences of operating parameters like pressure, temperature and equivalent ratio on the performance of fuel cell stack can be researched, which facilitates the performance research of the whole fuel cell system.
