An asynchronous multi-relay cooperation protocol exploiting rateless codes

Multi-relay cooperation, which can highly improve the link quality, is shown to be a promising approach for emerging wireless networks. This paper proposes an Asynchronous Multi-Relay Cooperation (AMRC) protocol using rateless codes in order to enhance the bandwidth efficiency of multi-relay transmissions. The protocol performance is analyzed and optimized so as to achieve the maximal end-to-end throughput.
