Apparatus and method for controling multi communication of electric vehicle charger

A multi-communication control apparatus for charging an electric vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a wireless signal receiving unit configured to receive a communication signal for charging the electric vehicle in a wireless manner, a wired signal receiving unit configured to receive the communication signal for charging the electric vehicle in a wired manner, a first communication unit for processing the communication signal received by the wireless signal receiving unit according to a first communication protocol, a second communication unit for processing the communication signal received by the wired signal receiving unit according to a second communication protocol, a third communication unit for processing the communication signal received by the wired signal receiving unit according to a power line communication protocol, and a control unit for activating the first communication unit according to the reception of the communication signal in the wireless signal receiving unit, activating the second communication unit if a duty ratio of the communication signal received by the wired signal receiving unit is out of a predetermined duty ratio range, and activating the third communication unit if the duty ratio of the communication signal received by the wired signal receiving unit is within the predetermined duty ratio range. Accordingly, the present invention can increase the charging convenience of an electric vehicle driver.
