Ecology of two sympatric Nassariid gastropods [ Nassarius (Niotha) stolatus (Gmelin) and Nassarius (Zeuxis) foveolatus (Dunker)] along the northern east coast of India

The present study traces the ecology of two sympatric Nassariid species namely Nassarius(Niotha)stolatus (Gmelin) and Nassarius(Zeuxis)foveolatus (Dunker) distributed along the north-east coast of India. The seasonal abundance, population fluctuation of the two species has measured in selected study sites. The physico-chemical parameters of water and soil and their interrelationship with the population fluctuation have also measured. There are spatiotemporal variations among the studied Nassariid species along the north east coast of India.
