A finite-difference method using a multi-block technique is developed for 3-dimensional incompressible flows. In this method, continuity of location of grid points and metrix are not required in block interfaces, and therefore, computational grids can be generated in each block separately without any restriction. As a result, computational modelling of flows around/in complex bodies is simplified compared to previous finite-difference methods. Applying the present technique to some numerical examples shows that numerical solutions are connected smoothly near block interfaces.
