An interactive microprocessor-based system for measurements and on-line analysis of stopped-flow data

Abstract An interactive microprocessor-based system is designed to log and process signals resulting from the mixing of two chemicals using a stopped-flow apparatus. The system is capable of calculating the rate constant of five reactions in a single mixing. The algorithms of calculations assume the reactions to follow a first order exponential signal. Interaction with the operator is achieved through an alphanumeric/graphic terminal. On-line results, high accuracy, experimental convenience with moderate cost is realized.
