MAG-SIoT: A multiplicative attributes graph model based trust computation method for social Internet of Things

Social Internet of Things (SIoT) is a social relationship based networking concept for IoT. The interactions between the members of the SIoT depends on the inter-relationships among them. Existing literature states different social relationships upon which the SIoT can establish their interactions. Trust is a concept which quantifies the reliability of an interaction between two members. This paper develops trust computation method based on the multiplicative attribute graph model. The proposed solution can compute the strength of the trust among SIoT members based on a pre-defined set of social relationships they have. The extent of the social relationships are quantified as affiliation values ranging from 0 to 1 [1]. Based on the data analyses it reveals that for a given set of trust requirements, the affiliations can represent the strength of the combined trust among each node pair in a SIoT network.
