Stochastic skeleton modeling of objects

A stochastic skeleton modeling scheme for shape generation is presented. The scheme consists of three main stages: (1) extraction of connected skeleton points, (2) construction of a skeleton model, and (3) generation of stochastic instances from the prototype skeleton model. The implementation of these stages is described. Specifically, a three-dimensional Euclidean distance transform, a sphere decomposition algorithm, and an interpolation scheme are presented in addition to other general schemes.
