Summary A vacuum-air pressure technique for investing wax patterns in phosphate-bonded investments has been described. The technique minimizes the size of any air bubble trapped during vacuum investing. This method has been used successfully over a two-year period for over 20,000 units of fixed partial denture crown and pontic castings.
