Agent based simulation framework for complex product

Composed of varieties of components representing behaviors from different disciplines, complex product can be described by a group of subsystem models and the interaction between them. Simulation of the product is always performed by different processes located at distributed computational resources with the rate of iteration different and inter-process communication intense. A simulation framework based on multi agent description of the complex product is proposed and model composition is realized by specifying the interaction topology between subsystem models of the complex product. Incorporating mobile agent technology, the framework realized automatic deployment of simulation models in distributed environment. An algorithm to manage data transfer efficiently considering both time synchronization and multi rate data transfer is realized.
