Wideband measurements in the 60 GHz band for short range communication

The mm wave band is expected to play a major role in future outdoor small cells such as lamp post to user. In this paper we present results of measurements performed in the 60 GHz band in outdoor environments using directional antennas at the transmitter and at the receiver where the receive antenna was rotated in 5° steps to estimate the directional channel parameters. In this paper we present the measurement methodology and the synthesis of the azimuthal received power delay profile. Examples of results of rms delay spread are presented with corresponding received power.
