Method for transmitting uplink signals in broadband wireless access communication system

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a backward signal in a broadband wireless access communication system is provided to transmit a raging code in a broadband wireless access communication system which uses an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing method without conflict among subscriber terminals. CONSTITUTION: A method for transmitting uplink signals in a broadband wireless access communication system is used to adjust time synchronization, frequency synchronization or power level among terminals and a base station under OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access). A ranging or a ranging code for requesting a band is transmitted from the terminal to the base station. A connection ID(IDentification) allocated for respective terminal is received from the base station(1401). A timing of transmission of the ranging code from the terminal and a class of the ranging code are determined from the connection ID. The determined ranging code is transmitted to the base station at the determined timing of transmission of the ranging code(1409).
