A design of driving circuit for high-speed,high-power LED

The driving circuit for high-speed,high-power LED(power≥3W) is a key part of the light calibration system for Neutron Wall detector.A design of driving circuit for high-speed,high-power LED will be introduced briefly in this paper.The circuit has features such as high operation stability,output driving pulse with fast leading-edge and falling-edge,and large current pulse output.The signal from internal pulse generator was shaped as a driving pulse,which pulse width can be adjusted in 5 steps from 15ns to 75ns.The frequency of driving pulse can be selected in 2 steps,50Hz and 0.1Hz.The leading-edge and falling-edge of driving pulse are less than 10ns.The output stage of this driving circuit can output large current pulse,maximum current up to 800mA.This driving circuit can drive 6 high-power LED simultaneously.This driving circuit has been used to construct the light calibration system for testing and calibrating the detection cells and read-out electronics of Neutron Wall detector,also for monitoring the long-team working status of the detection cells of Neutron Wall detector in Institute of Modern Physics(IMP).
