Agile Full-Duplex Transceiver: The Concept and Self-Interference Channel Characteristics

The following work gives a brief overview about existing self-interference cancellation techniques and analyzes the necessary amount of self-interference suppression, vital in every full-duplex transceiver. A concept of an agile full-duplex wireless transceiver, which is engineered to meet the forecasted specifications of 5G networks, is revealed. The transceiver is designed to enable the full-duplex scheme by means of a successive self-interference mechanism, while at the same time it is still able to support the conventional duplexing schemes. Indoor measurements of the self-interference radio channel are conducted, and non-uniform power-delay profiles are calculated by means of spatial smoothing and super-resolution parameters estimation techniques.
