A novel design of Microstrip fractal antenna for wireless sensor network

A novel approach of designing Microstrip antenna for wireless sensor network has been presented here. Now a day for any sensor network antenna takes a vital role in transmitting and receiving the signal. The Antenna which is presented here is a superior new design where the sensor network designer founds a flat gain response, dual band resonant and wider bandwidth. The purposed antenna is a square ring structure and it is fed by EM coupling. This design comes with a new technique which may not have implemented earlier. This technique is very much helpful to the designer as well as to the researcher to implement their idea in more efficient manner. The purposed antenna is multi layer microstrip square ring structure, which enable a flat band gain response and the gain is higher comparatively to other literature. This antenna is also resonating at multiple band of frequency, which is a good for multi band wireless application. Also the purposed antenna can be used for various kinds of mobile communication applications including MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output). The simulation study of various parameters of the designed antenna is done in IE3D electromagnetic EM simulator and presented in this paper. The layer thickness is optimized to get best result.
