Content-Based Medical Ultrasound Image Retrieval Using a Hierarchical Method

Content-based image retrieval (CBIR) has been major topics of research for medical image database query instead of text-based searching in recent years. Content-based access to medical images for supporting clinical data and scenarios for the integration of content-based access methods into picture archiving and communication system (PACS) has been created. In this paper, a hierarchical retrieval method for ultrasound images is proposed. The experimental results show a higher efficiency of the proposed algorithm than other single featurebased methods.
