Differential 3D ray-launching using arbitrary polygonal shapes in time-variant indoor scenarios

Communication systems operating in indoor environments and at frequencies from 60 GHz up to the THz range may suffer severely from dynamic human blockage. Previous studies have shown the influence of a single person on a single (static) link. In this paper, a model for the prediction of a time-variant scenario for a simple conference room with a group of persons is presented. The presented model is based on an analytical 3D ray-launching method, which enables a differential description of the time-variant scenario and an efficient computation.
