Human-Computer Interfaces: DBLEARN and System X

Two systems developed over the past several years for easy accessing of information from relational databases, DBLEARN and SystemX, are described. We explain their architectural characteristics, providing pointers to appropriate references for specific details. Examples given to illustrate the usefulness of these systems are drawn from databases in use with Rogers Cablesystems and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).*
