Analytical Model of Magnetic Field for Multi-Phase SPMSM and Fault Tolerance Analysis under Fault State

An analytical model of multi-phase SPMSM for asymmetrical fault condition is proposed for magnetic field calculation based on subdomain analysis model. The performances such as air gap magnetic density and no-load back electromotive force (EMF) are calculated accurately. On this basis, tolerant-fault control system is established at condition of one phase winding break with minimum-phase current as optimization goal. Performances such as electromagnetic output torque, torque ripple and temperature rise distribution are taken as evaluation indexes. To verify proposed analytical model, an inner rotor 12-phase SPMSM with 44-poles and 48-slots for ship is designed and manufactured.
