Irrigation Systems: Design and Operation

Provides the student or practitioner who already has a working knowledge of the basics of irrigation engineering with a good understanding of the newer technologies that are making irrigation systems more sophisticated. The concepts of accurate and optimal design (from a cost-benefit point of view) are emphasized. The material is presented in four sections: low-intensity irrigation systems; control, automation, and regulation; design and conveyance network; system evaluation. Readership: students of agriculture in dry lands.
