The invention relates to a test arrangement for motor vehicle engines, having a stationary unit (8), consisting of an electric machine (9) and a co-operating with the electrical machine transmission (10), to which a to be tested vehicle engine (2) couplable , said motor vehicle engine (2) on a movable transport device (1) is rotatably supported, whereby for the coupling of the motor vehicle engine (2) the positioning of the motor vehicle engine relative to the stationary electric-machine / transmission unit (8) effecting adapting device (6) is provided via which the information necessary for testing connections between electric-machine / gearbox unit (8) and the motor vehicle engine (2) positioned by means of an on-vehicle motor (2) adapter plate (5) are positionally accurate manufacture.
