Twenty Second National Radio Science Conference (NRSC 2005) March 15-17,2005 Cairo - Egypt m\ .. Circularly Polarized Switched Parasitic Quadrifilar Helical Arrays ~.

Circularly polarized switched four quadrifilar helical array is used for circular polarization in satellite applications and in directional finding. Two shapes for the elements of the array, vertical and horizontal elements, are considered. The method of moments is used to calculate the radiation characteristics of the antenna in different planes. The polarization patterns, field patterns, the axial ratio, and the gain are depicted. -
