Pseudo 3D image generation with simple depth models

A procedure for creating 3D images from existing 2D images is proposed. The proposed method is developed to fulfill the growing need for high quality generic 3D contents. The proposed method is intended to construct approximate structures to give 3D images without an explicit sense of incongruity. The depth data is generated with simple models and by warm/cool color theory. The proposed method has advantages over conventional methods in picture quality, low numerical complexity, and no need of tuning of parameters for different types of pictures. And the method can be applied for any visual devices which output or display pseudo 3D images, and pseudo 3D content creation.
