RELIABILITY ANALYSIS OF XIAOWAN HYDROPOWER STATION WATER INLET SLOPE STABILITY AND ITS APPLICATION

Based on the experimental data available for Xiaowan Hydropower Station water inlet slope,statistical analyses for shear strength parameters are made.Then the Monte-Carlo's method is employed to assess the reliability of stability of Xiaowan Hydropower Station's water inlet slope.In addition,sensitivity analyses of the statistical characteristic variables of shear strength parameters are conducted to discuss the effects of soil cohesion and friction angle on the reliability index.This study will be helpful to the application of reliability theory to geotechnical engineering.
