Accelerated Life Test and Life Prediction of an Electromechanical Actuator

This paper gives an accelerated test method for electromechanical actuator (EMA) and predicts its life based on Wiener process degradation model. According to the historical fault data and the FMECA analysis, we obtain that the key weak links of the electromechanical actuators are the electromagnetic clutch and the tachogenerator. The electromagnetic clutch accelerated test is designed by increasing the test frequency, and the accelerated test of the tachogenerator is designed by changing and optimizing the load spectrum. The Model of Wiener process based on the performance degradation data is conduceted. As a conlusion, we obtained the life index under normal conditions.
