This paper simulates a UWB positioning system and analyzes its performance in positioning accuracy. The system respectively adopts time-of-arrival (TOA) and time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA) to locate the target node through simulation. The results show the high precision positioning by UWB. Also comparing TOA with TDOA method, TDOA has a better performance in positioning and a lower requirement for synchronization than TOA. At last, the relationship between the positioning accuracy and location of target has been studied.
