This study describes the root canal filling using the thermo mechanical condensation of the gutta-percha by the use of McSpadden compactor. The thermo-mechanical condensation of gutta-percha described by McSpadden (1980) consists on the use of endodontic instruments: compactor pluggers. As well as the hybrid technique of Tagger, proposed by Tagger et al.1 that had studied in vitro the apical sealing produced by the association of a compactor and lateral condensation technique, to minimize the adverse effects of the originally McSpadden proposal, such as the high incidence of overfilling. According to many authors, it is concluded that filling the root canal with Tagger hybrid technique produces a more secure and higher quality technique than the McSpadden.
