Numerical Calculation of Viscous Flow Over Hypersonic Waveriders

An efficient parabolized Navier-Stokes (PNS) code has been developed to compute the three-dimensional viscous flow over hypersonic waveriders. The new code has been used to compute the laminar flow over two waverider geometries. Both on-design and off-design numerical solutions are compared with experimental data and previous Navier-Stokes calculations. The computed surface pressure coefficients and skin friction coefficients are found to be in good agreement with previous results. The current study demonstrates the efficiency of the PNS code in the analysis of waverider configurations.
